Error using OpenSSL with cryptographic engine

Posted in

Hi,

I am trying to use the FEITIAN PKI card with OpenSSL as described in the quickstarter guide and unfortunately am failing to do so.

When I execute the following code:
OpenSSL>engine -t dynamic -pre SO_PATH:/usr/lib/engines/engine_pkcs11.so -pre ID:pkcs11 -pre LIST_ADD:1 -pre LOAD -pre MODULE_PATH:opensc-pkcs11.so

I receive the error 140118766102184:error:2506406A:DSO support routines:DLFCN_BIND_FUNC:could not bind to the requested symbol name:dso_dlfcn.c:285:symname(bind_engine): /usr/lib/openssl-1.0.0/engines/libgost.so: undefined symbol: bind_engine/

This seems to be a problem with Openssl. I am using Openssl version 1.0.0d 8 Feb 2011 and have compiled OpenSC and the PKCS11 engine from trunk.

Any hint would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Thorsten
