Using Windows Certificate Manager

In this section, we will make sure that Windows can use the certificates on smartcard.

Windows Certificate Manager

Windows Certificate Manager allows to manage RSA keys and X.509 certificates.

Click the Start button and type:

certmgr.msc

Windows Certificate Manager is running:

Viewing client certificates on smartcard

In the Menu View, select Options:

Enable Show "Physical Certificate Stores" and click the OK button.

Click on Personal > Registry > Certificates:

If the smartcard / token is correctly initialized, you should see your credentials.

Right-Click on your certificate and select Properties:

You may click the OK button.
Your smartcard/token is recognized by Windows.
