Using WinSCP with smartcards

In this section, we will use WinSCP with PageantSC authentication agent.

Downloading and installing WinSCP

Visit WinSCP dowloading page.
By the time of writing, the latest version is WinSCP 4.3.1 beta.
Download the package called Installation package.

After installation, run the installer.

Choose your language:

Click Next button:

Read and accept the licence:

Choose to install or upgrade your installation:

You may install kiki. We did not install it:

Click Install button:

Restart your computer as proposed:

After restarting start Pageantsc.exe to load your smartcard/token RSA key.

Using WinSCP with smartcards

Run WinSCP.

Click New button to create a new session:

Enter your hostname and your username.
Click on Save button:

Choose a name for your session:

WinSCP dialog should look like below.
Click on the Login button:

Enter your PIN code:

You should be logged-in:
