Presentation
GOOZE will be attending Security / Hardware crypto devroom at FOSDEM 2011 [1]. This devroom will gather various Free Software leading projets in security, like OpenSC, OpenSSL, OpenSSH. A detailed description is available on OpenSC wiki [2]
FOSDEM (Free and Open Source Developers' European Meeting) is a European event centered around Free and Open Source software development. It is aimed at developers and all interested in the Free and Open Source news in the world. Its goals are to enable developers to meet and to promote the awareness and use of free and open source software.
Entrance and training sessions are free.
Smart card training session for developers
GOOZE will be giving a one hour training session on smarcards.
Schedule:
- People registrating this event will receive a demonstration token to use during training.
- Presentation of the Feitian PKI smartcard, R-301 smarcard readers and Feitian ePass PKI token.
- Presentation of OpenSC framework.
- Compilation and installation of OpenSC framework.
- Initialization of smartcards/token.
- Transfer of OpenSSH key and X.509 certificates.
- Smartcard usage in various applications: OpenSSH, Iceweasel, etc ...
- Signing source code using smartcards.
- Open discussions.
- Demo tokens are returned at the end of the session.
Crypto jungle
We will also hold a 15 minutes presentation describing the existing frameworks, called "Crypto jungle". This presentation is intended to explain how difficult it is to use the various frameworks and that we should work together to make crypto and security easier.
Open training
GOOZE will also give custom training sessions to individuals looking for information.
We will stay in the devroom as long as it is open, to train interested developers.

Transport, accomodation and catering
FOSDEM takes place every year during the first weekend of February at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), situated in the southeast of Brussels. Visit FOSDEM website for more details [1]

[3] To receive a demonstration token during the session, click on Signup to register. We will bring about 50 tokens. Alternatively, if you are not a GOOZE customer, register our website, click on "My account" and "Mobile Settings" to verify your mobile phone using SMS. The token will be returned to GOOZE after the training session.
