Smartcard mini SIM cutting instructions

This document explains how to cut a credit card size card into a mini-SIM, doing it yourself.

Disclaimer:

• You need to be familiar with cutting tools.
• Only cut a card if you are older than 18 years old and you know what you are doing.
• Do not use any electrical tool, you only need a cutter.
• Any error may damage your smartcard.

Here is a diagram in SVG format explaining how to cut a smart card into a mini-SIM:

Instructions:

• Download the SIM cut diagram in SVG format.
• Open the file in Inkscape or Illustrator, print to original size.
• Surexpose the print with the smartcard. The print and the smartcard should be exactly the same size.
• Make 5 tiny holes.
• Use a cutter to cut the card between the holes.
